The 7th Annual “Parrandon Navide” Holiday Celebration

Massachusetts Latino Chamber of Commerce recognizes Woman Trailblazers and Trendsetters in honor of Women’s Month.

The event will honor Women trailblazers and trendsetters for their contribution and excellence in entrepreneurship, community activism, government, educational, media and journalism, technology and innovation.

Women are launching businesses at 1.5 times the national average and, according to the Center for Women’s Business Research, 10 million U.S. firms are women-owned (defined as having a 50% female ownership stake or more).

Women owned companies employ more than 13 million people nationwide, and generate $1.9 trillion in sales (as of 2008). In fact, women-owned firms account for 40% of all privately held firms. One in five firms with revenue of $1 million or more is a woman-owned company.
