Job Title: Kitchen Manager
Normal Work Week: Monday – Friday
Normal Hours per Week: 40 hours
Base Salary: TDB
Qualifications:
Have the personal qualities to relate with staff, families, interns, volunteers, visitors, and vendors.
Have a High School Diploma/GED and more than a year experience in management, or a supervisory role in the Food Services Industry.
Possess a valid Serv-Safe Certification.
Have basic computer proficiency, familiarity or experience.
Demonstrates organizational ability in prioritizing and completing assigned tasks.
Flexible weekly schedule.
Reliable transportation to travel to various sites and travel to the Food Bank as required.
Job Duties:
Monitors sites to ensure the kitchen meets the required safety and health inspections and comply with the requirements by the department of Education and Department of Early Education and Care licensing regulations.
Assist in planning and purchasing menu items for special events.
Ability to travel and utilize Food Bank purchases on a regular basis.
Works closely with transportation to coordinate the distribution of kitchen supplies and goods to all sites.
Maintains documented inventory of food and supplies at Center Kitchens.
Orchestrate and assist kitchen staff in follow through with special functions at the centers.
Assist kitchen staff in management of the center kitchens.
Participate with vendors meetings.
Provide, prepare and report on test recipes.
Performs other related duties as required by the Dir. Of Food Services.
Handle job responsibilities in the absence if the Director of Food Services.
