Hispanics Business Leaders Flock to Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Convention Center
September 20, 2007 PUERTO RICO (WWLP) - Some local business owners are gearing up for this year's National Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Convention in Puerto Rico. The Massachusetts Latino Chamber of Commerce will attend the 4-day convention in San Juan along with state and national government leaders. In a series of seminars, people who attend the conference will focus on building business relationships and developing better business strategies. "This is going to be the largest National Hispanic Chamber event in the history of the national conventions. It's been sold out for over a month and 7,000 people are expected to participate" said Carlos Gonzalez of the Massachusetts Latino Chamber of Commerce. "We can bring to Massachusetts more education opportunities more technical opportunities, more funding opportunities for the local business community" said Springfield Attorney Reinaldo Gonzalez. The National Hispanic Business Expo kicked off Wednesday night. Among those in attendance is 22News reporter Veronica Cintron. |
